Can the Los Angeles Lakers turn it around?

The Los Angeles Lakers season can be described as a disappointment thus far. The group of All-Stars that got together in the offseason haven not been able to find their niche. People have called it lack of chemistry, others have called it lack of heart. Needless to say everyone has put their two cents on the Lakers this year. There does seem to be some light at the end of the tunnel. The Lakers core of players seems to finally be healthy. At one time this season Nash, Howard, and Gasol were out. They re-unite thursday on what will be a must win game against the heat. The Miami Heat come into the Staples Center with a record of 9-9 on the road this season. The Lakers should look to maximize their position down low, and take advantage of their big men. The Miami Heat have showed constant struggles against big men throughout their big 3 era. With that being said one game does not fix the Los Angeles Lakers problem. The Lakers have a great offensive talent, but their problems seems to be on the other side of the court. A lack of youth seems to give problems on the defense. In addition, having a coach like mike D'Antoni does not help either. Throughout D'Antoni's career he has refused to give much attention to the defense of aspect of the game. sticking to his uptempo way offense which can only hurt the Lakers due to their old age. To add more flame to the fire the lakers big man off the bench, the player that got all of those rebounds Jordan Hill, seems to be out for the remaining of the season with a hip injury. Tough times are ahead the Lakers. Will they be able to overcome it? I bet they wish they hired Phil Jackson.
